Theme: Valuing Teachers, Improving Their Status.

Honorable Minister Wilber Heine acknowledges the importance teachers. On October 10th, Minister Heine stated that,

"Today is the day to celebrate and honour our teachers. Teachers who have been working very hard, to the best of their abilities to educate our children in the schools...Our leaders at the National Government, Local Government, successful business owners, managers/directors and heads of agencies, were once, the very students you have in your classrooms right now. You taught the Presidents of our country, the Ministers and Senators, the Ambassadors, and diplomats...You taught the pilots, the sea captains..You taught the parents of today..and you will continue to teach and someone in your classroom now, will some day become a President, Doctor, and Engineer..."

A memo was sent out to all principals and head teachers to ensure schools celebrated National Teachers Day their schools.

Jeramon nan aolep rikaki. Kommol tata for all that you do for all of us.
